While studying civil engineering in media technology/software engineering at Linköpings University, I one night fell head over heels in love with Adobe Illustrator. From there I started to explore Adobe After Effects, and then Adobe Premiere Pro. And whops; suddenly I had familiarized myself with most of the programs in the Adobe suite. I also experimented with 3D modeling programs such as Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D and Terragen 4.
After graduating with a master's in software engineering I moved to San Diego, California for an internship. I worked with content creation and marketing for a renewable energy company. I moved back to Sweden after a year and worked remotely for the same company. In my free time I started a YouTube channel to practice filming (Fuji XT-3 and DJI mini2), animation and storytelling. At the beginning of 2022, I quit my remote job, started my own creative company, packed my 40l backpack and headed to the Caribbean and then to Mexico to volunteer at different farms and organizations, while filming and collecting stories for 8 months.
I am now back in school, this time studying something that feels very dear to my heart: prop making. "Oh, that's quite a new direction," one might think. But it isn't really. It feels right this time. It's a perfect combination of my obsession with movies and crafts, building something with my hands, and having fun with the idea that every detail has a story behind it.
My goal now is to learn as much as possibly possible during these two years in school and jump on every opportunity to experience more within the realm of props, practical effects, and set dressing. I hope to meet you there.
